A Heartfelt Pitch for Amazing Transformation

Why is it that some people seem to easily achieve whatever they want in life with all the riches (and enriching life experiences) that go with it -- while others struggle just to get by?

Why do some people routinely attract the right combination of circumstances and opportunities they need to play a bigger game -- while others wait years to get ahead in their chosen field or activity?

I've discovered the answer from a man whose work I've mentioned several times and whom you may already know.  In fact, he's been the leading success coach behind top achievers across America -- and trained literally millions more around the world in his unique principles of success.

Business leaders... Bestselling authors… Noted philanthropists… Winning athletes… Top salespeople… All types of achievers have been personally trained by him. So have I.

And this Summer, you can, too.

The man I want you to meet is Jack Canfield -- originator of the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series and one of the most impactful human potential specialists alive today.

Over the past 30 years, Jack has perfected a system that can help anyone plan, pursue and achieve the life of their dreams.  And coming up August 14-20 in Scottsdale, Arizona, he's offering my friends and colleagues the opportunity to work with him personally to do the same -- an opportunity he makes available only once a year.

Would you like to...

* Pursue a dream career that rewards you handsomely while it inspires and exhilarates you?

* Enjoy the supportive, nurturing relationships you want... because you've stepped up and asked for the respect, appreciation and love you deserve?

* Embrace the future as you finally complete the past -- sweeping away old hurts, unfulfilled dreams and regretful mistakes?

* Assemble a team of mentors, colleagues, advisors and friends who believe in you and can help fast-forward your future plans?

* Dream big again... with confidence and assurance that what you want is actually possible?

I want YOU to experience these kinds of successes every day.  When you work with Jack Canfield, not only will he provide the road map to help you achieve all this -- he'll help you surge past the most common barriers that keep people from accomplishing what they want. Working with Jack as my mentor has literally transformed my life, my work, my purpose!

If you would like to play a bigger game in life and finally enjoy the rewards of success you know are possible, you simply must consider working with Jack Canfield as an investment in your own future.  He's conducting his once-a-year Breakthrough to Success training starting August 14th.

Will you decide to be there?

You can read more by clicking here:

I've been through Jack's training.  I was inspired, motivated and transformed by his life-changing process.  And now I recommend that you read what Jack has to say about how you, too, could join his select group of top achieving students and begin to pursue the life of your dreams.

But you must hurry.  Jack purposely limits the number of people he works with at this unique training.  By this time tomorrow the window of opportunity may be closed.

Jack Canfield and his life-changing success systems have my highest endorsement.  I hope you'll act quickly and be one of the few who get to work with him.

Sincerely,

Trisha

P.S.  Working with Jack Canfield has literally transformed my life and career -- and given me a completely new perspective on how to achieve my goals.  If you'd like to join Jack in developing your own success road map, I urge you to read about his upcoming training by clicking here:

Our Positive Future and a Way to Get There from Here

As I've shared, I spent over twenty years immersed in traditional health care as a practicing pharmacist and as an educational consultant to the health care industry. A major life transition caused me to do some soul searching, connect with spirituality and explore my belief systems for the purpsoe of breaking some cycles of behavior.

My life transition led me to the mountains of NH and to work that is more in line with my passion and purpose. Through my personal process as well as my work with others, I have witnessed the power of limiting beliefs and the impact those beliefs have on creating a person's reality.

Today I am fascinated by some of the new research that is beginning to bridge the gap between science and spirituality that I am sure will change the practice of medicine as we know it. I find myself intrigued by the work of Bruce Lipton. His work challenges our understanding of genetics.

He suggests that it is our cellular environment, our thinking and our belief that influences genetic expression. If we adopt child programming that tells us that a particular disease "is in our genes" that we will actually create disease. If we reprogram our subconscious mind to shift programmed beliefs, for example with hypnosis, our outcomes will be quite different. It's not just about disease ... it's about anything we believe to be true due to the subconscious programming we experienced in childhood.

Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D., is an internationally recognized authority in bridging science and spirit, and a leading voice in new science field of Epigenetics. A cell biologist by training, he taught at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, and later conducted pioneering studies at Stanford University. Author of "The Biology of Belief and Spontaneous Evolution" and "The Biology of Belief", Dr. Lipton has been invited to speak on hundreds of TV and radio shows, and to appear as a keynote and workshop presenter at many national and international conferences. His most recent book, "Spontaneous Evolution: Our Positive Future and a Way to Get There from Here", is available now.

Bruce has a way of explaining things that is simple, profound and life changing. His work on The Biology of Belief is most interesting and impactful. You can look him up on youtube ... certainly worth checking out!

If you can carve out an hour or so, I strongly suggest you listen to an amazing interview at the link below. It will only be available for a couple of days, however.

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end ...

4/24/2011

Comments

Did you ever get a song stuck in your head? The song plays over and over and over and you can't stop it? For me, sometimes it's just a line of a song playing over and over again ... like today.

The song in my head is "Closing Time" by the Semisonics. The lyrics speak of the scene at closing time in a bar. Last call.

♪♪♫ Closing time - time for you to go out, go out into the world.
Closing time - one last call for alcohol, so finish your whiskey or beer.
Closing time - you don't have to go home but you can't stay here.
Closing time - time for you to go back to the places you will be from.
Closing time - every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.♪♪♫
~Semisonics, Closing Time

Wierd.

The line that keeps running through my head is ...

♪♫♫ ... every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end ... ♪♪♫
Perfect, actually!

I'm in transition. I'm in a place of uncertainty. I have a clear vision. I have a plan. I am taking action day by day. I'm working with a coach. And I am grateful.

However, as I often notice at times of transition, I am put in touch with aspects of my past that challenge my new direction. It's almost as if the Universe is challenging me to be sure that I'm really ready to move forward and put an end to old ways of thinking, believing and acting. Perhaps it's my subconscious mind playing those old, familiar tapes in an attempt to keep me safe and connected to what I've always known and do what I've always done.

For me, my new beginnings will require me to end a couple of old patterns that no longer serve me as well as create new beliefs to replace the old, liming beliefs that no longer serve me. As difficult as it is to break ties with the familiar, it is exciting to see what lies on the other side.

Another thing that I've noticed is that my life transitions seem to be connected to the cycles of nature. Some of the larger ones have been connected to major natural events. For example, the Old Man of the Mountain in NH came crashing down at the same time my life as I knew it was pulled out from under me. Just as the Old Man slid to the bottom of the cliff, so did the foundation that had been holding me up.

This time the transition is not as dramatic or devastating. This time the transition flows like winter into spring. I can feel myself holding on and resisting a bit. Ironically nature responded with a snow storm at the end of April. I really love snow ... but enough is enough. Just as I really love the things I must let go of, but enough is enough.

It's time for spring, time for rebirth, time for new beginnings.

A New Twist on the High School to College Transition

4/21/2011

Comments

This is the time of year when high school graduation celebrations are being planned, seniors all over the country are preparing for their next step and parents are beginning to see their lives with one less child to take care of every day.

So what’s next?

For some it is about following a pre-prescribed path that was laid out for them by parents, mentors, culture or society.

Others will begin a quest to answer some of the bigger questions about life. Questions like: Who am I? What do I value? What is my purpose? My vision? My dream? How will I fulfill it? What’s next?

For others it will be about both.

For many of us, the bigger questions came later in life; after our formal education, career, marriage, family, major purchases. For many of us those questions are prompted after a life changing event, such as divorce, job loss, illness, financial difficulty, etc. It is often during those difficult times that we are challenged to go deep within, beyond the noise of our day to day lives, to the core of who we really are, to our connection with a greater source, to what we truly believe, why we’re really here and what we'd like to accomplish in this life.

For many of us, it is often about looking back over the course of our lives to  see the patterns and cycles that hold us back, the beliefs that limit us and the environments that cause us to make choices that don’t serve our greatest good.

Life is about exploring.

But why do many of us wait so long to discover who we really are and to answer the bigger questions? Why not begin to explore those questions before we choose our careers, our partners, our life path? Why not make those choices based on our values and our purpose?

The Parent As Coach Approach

4/18/2011

Comments

In her book, The Parent As Coach Approach: The Seven Ways to Coach Your Teen in the Game of Life, author Diana Sterling says that the role of parents in a child's life changes as the child develops. She suggests the following model for parenting a child from 0 through 20:

0 through 6
Parent as Teacher

7 through 12
Parent as Administrator

13 through 20
Parent as Coach

She goes on to explain that at about age 6 or 7, the mental transition from "learning to read" to "reading to learn" occurs and that children are then able to absorb information independently and no longer need their parent to teach them everything.

During the ages between 7-12 children begin to initiate activities and create social groups and need an adult to administer these activities and groups, and help them to explore their growing interests, while continuting to serve as teacher.

During the teen years, a child's intellectual process expands with new capability for abstract thought. He begins to manage his own activities, schedule and decision making and doesn't need or want an administrator.

Here's where parents have a choice about the way they approach parenting their teen.

They can continue trying to parent as an administrator. Many parents do this automatically, out of habit and often unconsciously. This will most likely result in resistance, frustration and conflict with teens, who are trying to make the transition from children to responsible, independent adults. Parents may see their role as promoting personal responsibility (don't forget to brush your teeth, did you do your homework? clean your room?) where teens simply see this as nagging. They know what they need to do and they would like to choose when they will do it. The more nagging, the more resistant. And, come on, Mom, I think I can handle brushing my teeth by now!

This is the point where a break down of sorts occurs. Some parents take a step back from the conflict and think their job is done as their teen disengages, pushes their parents away and/or rebels. In fact, this is the point where teens need their parents most.

Diana Sterling suggests that at this point parents consider parenting their teens a coach. Based on my work with teens and what teens tell me about their relationships with their parents and what they want and need from their parents and other adults in their lives, I would agree with Diana.

Teens need coaches to support and guide them toward creating a life of purpse and meaning. They don't need adults to manage their lives anymore. Instead they need guidance, support and perspective. They need to know you're there and are watching from a comfortable distance sometimes ... and are right there with them at other times. It makes sense when you think of what they are trying to accomplish; going from totally dependent to independent. That doesn't happen overnight and it doesn't happen alone.

Ideally for teens, all the adults in their lives will be their coaches during this transition, parents included.

This concept may seem foreign, even difficult, for some parents to embrace. Some parents will disagree with the concept of parent as Coach and stand firm on their role as Administrators. The truth is, making the shift from Administrator to Coach may mean some self-reflection around our own upbringing and the way we were parented, That may be difficult for some, however the return on investment will yield great rewards for those who are able to make the shift.

I believe that this philosophy can be applied to all adults who work with and support teens.

I love that I get to witness this kind of transformation in my work on a daily basis and that this work serves as a never ending source of gratitude and growth for me and the teens and adults I work with. The truth is, teens have so much to offer adults and society in the form of creative ideas and solutions and observations. Coaching teens and adults to connect and communicate more effectively is a great way to breathe new insight, energy and creativity into our world.
