A few months ago, I cound myself needing to find more work-life balance. As life would have it, the right course showed up at the right time and I was immersed in learning how to leverage the technology to streamline my productivity and turn concepts and ideas into content, products and programs that could be monetized. During the dinner break I treated myself to a glass of wine and a steak dinner at the hotel where I was staying. That is where I connected with Mollie. And then his happened:

During the dinner break I treated myself to a glass of wine and a steak dinner at the hotel where I was staying. That is where I connected with Mollie. And then his happened:
I decided to offer Mollie some coaching and help her bring her idea to life. Mollie was grateful for the experience and when I asked her to give me feedback about her experience, she said, “I absolutely love that our paths crossed! I am overwhelmed with joy for this new journey I am now on because of you. I was blown away by how, in such a short time, you helped me get my idea onto the computer screen, into an outline, with a title and a draft that I can work on. Thank you!"
As I drove away from our session, I thought about how many teenagers will benefit from reading Mollie's story. But it went way beyond the impact on teenagers ...
The truth is we all have a story. Many of us have felt compelled to share our story to inspire others on their journey. Some of us simply want to share what we've learned along the way. Still others want to write to provide entertainment or an escape for those who love to read.
My thoughts wandered to how I could use the process I used in my session with Mollie to help others get their book ideas out of their heads and onto the page. My first book stayed stuck in my head for years. Now, in just a few hours, Mollie's book was out of her head and in a working document with a chapter outline, a title and a the beginnings of a manuscript. On the ride home that day, my new program was born!

RP had been in management for most of his career. He told me he had been thinking about writing a book for a long time but had no idea where to start. When I asked him to tell me about the concept, he had a hard time putting it into words. I gave him a simple tool to help him turn off the volume in his head and drop into his heart where our inspiration lives. One night, out of the blue, he texted me with his book title and a bit about the concept. It came out of nowhere when he was sitting quietly on the couch, practicing what I had taught him. We met for dinner a week later and I walked him through my process. He now has a working title, an outline, a good start on his manuscript ... and he's been writing ever since!
SS has been talking about writing a children's book for quite some time. One day, while we were having a cup of tea, she mentioned it again. I reminded her that she's been talking about this for awhile and I asked her if she was ready to start. I could see the fear in her eyes as she was about to resist and make an excuse about what she needed to rush off to do. I didn't wait for her to speak. I simply got up, got my laptop, sat down and asked her a question, then another and another. In about 20 minutes, the essence of the story she wanted to write was captured by my fingers on the keyboard. Then came the characters, the scenery, the message, and why she felt it was important for kids to connect with it. The look on her face was priceless when I showed her what I had just turned into a working manuscript. A few more minutes and she had a working title. Soon her children's book will soon be published.!
